We have used our expertise in the highly efficient production of antibodies in diatoms for the biotech spin-off Phaeosynt. 

Phaeosynt is responsible for developing products based on our diatom antibodies. The first product is the production of the world's first vegan and sustainable pregnancy test. The company is currently funded by the HTI Biointelligence program and has already won several start-up awards, including the main prize of the Startup-Impuls competition in the "Hochschulstart" category, one of the most highly endowed regional start-up competitions in Germany.

Together with Phaeosynt, we are working on the production of secondary antibodies for use in procedures such as ELISA or immunostaining as part of the BMBF project AniSAn.
